Congratulations and Hats Off to:

Sandra Trussell
who was named one of the 'USEF Top 10 Overall Show Secretaries for 2009'. This list was comprised of all USEF show disciplines. Sandra was the only Dressage show secretary to make the top 10 list, making her the Top USEF Dressage Secretary. WOW!

Rankings were based on criteria developed by the Federation and the Competition Services Department. These top 10 show secretaries went 'Above and beyond' said Lisa Ownens, Assistant Executive Director of competitions & Horse Services.

At the Competitors party at Orlando Dressage ShowBird's Paradise show January 30, 2010, show management and competitor's crowned Sandra for her outstanding achievement. Here Sandra is enjoying her tiara, wand, and champaign. We are proud of you, Sandra, and darn lucky to have you here in Central Florida. Robin Barr & Lacy's Best One
who finished 1st place Champions in USEA (United States Eventing Association) in Region 3 Training Level division. Our region is comprised of six states FL, GA, TN, SC, MS and AL and Robin and Lacy were #1 overall for 2009 in her division in all those states. That’s fantastic! Congrats Robin and Lacy!

But that’s not all. Robin and Lacy also placed 3rd overall in the entire nation in USEA Amateur Training division for 2009 (Jan-December). This placing was determined by year end points and cummulative ranking & placing for USEA. Congratulations to Robin and Lacy’s Best One for their outstanding achievements in eventing. Noel Brown who was chosen to be on the short list for the United States Pony Club Dressage Demonstration Group/Team for the 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games. This group consists of 10 riders who will be traveling to the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, KY for the demonstration period from September 25 – October 2, 2010. Noel is an 18 year old C3 Traditional (eventing) Pony Clubber with Bay Leaf Pony Club and a member of CFD. Noel will be taking her C3 Dressage Specialty Rating in November. Jo McCracken who recently earned the final score she needed for her USDF Rider Silver Medal. Score was earned on 'Dragon's Lair Pink's Perfection' a.k.a. 'Molly'. Molly is a Welsh Pony mare who can hold her own in the upper level dressage competitions. Jo says " I've ridden Molly since she was 4. She is now 12 years old and has had four beautiful fouls. Molly helped me earn all my scores for both my Bronze and Silver Rider medals. She is such a special pony!!!" We think so too, Jo. Congratulations on earning your Silver Medal. Jean Thornton who's stallion Blue Eyed Dream ridden and competed by member Charity Messer was the 2009 American Warmblood Registry 3rd Level Champion. (Submitted 01/09/2010)

Charity Messer who received her USDF Bronze Medal in 2009. Charity earned all of the required scores for the medal on Blue Eyed Dream who she has been training since Blue Eyed Dream was 3 years old. (Submitted 01/09/2010)

Sarah Bartko who recently earned her 'r' (Recorded) USEF-licensed dressage technical delegate (TD) license. Click here to see what a dressage technical delegate does. In order to receive an 'r' TD license, the individual must attend USDF apprentice TD clinics and complete the requirements specified by USDF/USEF. The entire process can take anywhere from two to eight years to complete. At every step the Federation reviews the applicants progress, verification documentation, and exams. It's a lot of work and an honor to be accepted into and complete the TD 'r' program. CFD is extremely proud of Sarah and her accomplishment. You go, girl! (Submitted 11/27/2009)

Mary Robinson and George Trujillo's, American Warmblood Palomino, Brooks Dream received the AWR Reserve Champion at the AWR southeast inspections. Brooks Dream scored an overall score of 8.1 which placed him as First Premium Premier. Brooks Dream is 8 months old and Mary and George's first breeding. The judges called him an elegant type sporthorse with a good attitude.

Carol Bulmer for achieving her USEF Silver Medal in 2009. To earn a Silver Medal a rider must have four scores of 60% or higher: two scores at fourth level from two different judges two different rides, and two scores at Prix St. George from two different judges two different rides. Susan Croft and Laura Causey who successfully completed CFD Scribe Training held at the November 14, 2009 Ride-A-Test Clinic. Susan and Laura completed a classroom lecture, hands-on practice scribe training behind our Ride-a-Test Judge Tina Drake, and passed their written exam with flying colors.
