Ann Chartier
President
/ Webmaster / Enews letter
Ann Chartier was
bitten by the dressage bug in 1981 and became a member of Central Florida
Dressage in 1989. Ann enjoys all aspects of horse ownership, riding,
training, and showing, but closest to her heart is creating and performing
dressage musical Freestyles for herself and others. Her goals for CFD
are to continue the club's direction of organizing and hosting educational
dressage events, having fun, and promoting the club in the equestrian
community. Ann has previously served CFD in the positions of show Manager,
Centerline Editor, Treasurer, and Banquet Chairman, and was the Heart
and Spirit award recipient for 2008..
When
Ann is not riding her horse, Hermes, or doing barn chores, she is sewing,
working in her yard, or waiting on her demanding cats. Ann lives with
her horse tolerant husband, Jon, in Apopka Florida.
Susan Croft
Vice-President
Born in Toronto,
Ontario to German parents in 1959, Susan moved to Central Florida in
1975. Currently retired from her position as CEO of Lengemann of Florida,
Susan pursues daily involvement in her equestrian passion and is training
her horse, Arrow, under the tutelage of Captain Barry McKie.
Susan
has been married to Bobby since 1981 and has two children, Melissa,
and Robert. She looks forward to bringing her leadership and organizational
skills to CFD.
Kathy Dennis
Secretary
Kathy Dennis
recently relocated to Mt. Dora, from the Cleveland area, where she had
lived for 15 years. Her first real horse experience began during graduate
school when she began riding on a regular basis. That first horse was
used entirely for trail riding and “clearing the brain” in between work
and studying. Subsequent horse activities included about 8 years of
carriage driving and showing a Quarter Horse mare, and then a stint
of about 9 years showing hunters. Kathy turned to dressage in her late
40’s, and 5 years ago was lucky enough to find a lovely TB schoolmaster
who had shown through Prix St. Georges. Their relationship started at
training level and late last summer she was able to return Cowboy to
PSG again.
While in Ohio Kathy
served as Treasurer for Northern Ohio Dressage Association for two years,
and she also volunteered at their schooling shows on a periodic basis.
When not riding,
Kathy does some consulting for the asset management business and serves
as a director of the Morgan Stanley Funds.
Kimberley Puthoff
Treasurer/Membership Liaison
Kimberley
has possessed a great love of horses since childhood, first with hunter/jumpers
and then finally taking up dressage in the late 1990’s. Although
not currently riding, she intends to continue her dressage training
in the very near future. In the meantime, Kimberley’s life is
very full with work, golf, fishing, and home renovations. Kimberley
has served as the Treasurer of Central Florida Dressage since 2001 and
added the duty of membership/roster contact in 2006.
Diane
Delmain
Program
Director
Diane has
been passionate about horses and riding since childhood. She rode
constantly through her teenage years and competed in 4-H. She
sold her horse to go to college and did not start riding again until
several years ago. Three years ago, she bought a horse and switched
to dressage. She is really enjoying the learning process and moving
through the levels. She will be competing at Second Level this
year, with the goal of training her horse through Third Level.
She loves Musical Freestyle and was instrumental in implementing the
CFD Freestyle Fundraiser. She is very excited about planning other
fun events and clinics for the club.
In her real life, Diane supports her horse
passion as a Feline Veterinarian. She was the First Board Certified
Feline Specialist in Florida and currently practices in SW Orlando.
She is married with a daughter who rides.
