CFD had a fun and educational Ride-A-Test Clinic with Tina Drake under the indoor arena at Wind Song Farms November 14, 2009. Each rider got a 20 minute riding slot to perform a Dressage test of their choice, then school with Tina on making improvements to areas of their test. Tina was patient and knowledgeable with each riding pair and after each session was able to advance each horse and rider's way of going by providing exercises on how to relax the horse, promote flexibility, and improve response. All participants indicated Tina helped them tremendously with their rides and want to clinic with Tina again. Riders in this clinic were:

From this above group of riders, Tina Drake will select the winner of the
Raswan Trophy 'Most Harmonious Horse and Rider' which will be presented at
our 2009 Annual Banquet and Awards Ceremony held in the spring of 2010.
Thanks to our volunteer scribes: Sue Michaels and Linda Thompson
who gave their day to make our event happen, Orlando Dressage for loaning
us calculators with tape so we could score the tests, Tina
Drake for being our most wonderful judge and clinician
for the day, and as always, Lori Wubker and Wind
Song Farms for hosting this event at their lovely and hospitable
facility.
